I am exploring how modern Indian creative practitioners navigate the tension between imaginative freedoms (the Sky) and livelihood realities (the Loom), looking at contemporary figures like Nilima Sheikh and Ranjani Shettar alongside the historical art and design lineages of Tagore, Coomaraswamy, Bose, Dashrath Patel, a mentor and K.G. Subramanyan.

This work investigates the continuity between fine and utilitarian art as a resilient blueprint for the future creative economy.
